What is IPOE and how does Endstate help?
Intelligence Preparation of the Operational Environment (IPOE) is the systematic process of analyzing threat and environment factors. Endstate accelerates IPOE through automated OAKOC terrain analysis, threat evaluation using DRAW-D methodology, weather effects assessment, and structured worksheet tools.
What is OAKOC analysis?
OAKOC evaluates Observation and fields of fire, Avenues of approach, Key terrain, Obstacles, and Cover and concealment. Endstate provides AI-powered OAKOC analysis with terrain overlays, obstacle classification, mobility corridor identification, and key terrain candidate scoring.
How does threat analysis work?
Endstate supports threat capability evaluation using DRAW-D methodology (Defend, Reinforce, Attack, Withdraw, Delay) and helps develop threat courses of action including most likely and most dangerous enemy COAs.

Endstate processes PDF, DOCX, DOC, and text files. Multi-modal processing handles images, tables, charts, and maps within documents using OCR and AI-powered extraction.
What entity types can Endstate extract?
Endstate recognizes over 40 military entity types including mission statements, commander intent, tasks to subordinate units, coordinating instructions, fire support plans, timeline events, objectives, phase lines, boundaries, enemy disposition, threat COAs, logistics nodes, command posts, and more.
How does entity review work?
Automatically extracted entities are presented for human verification. Users can accept, modify, or reject extractions with confidence scores. Notes and comments support audit trails while maintaining the human-in-the-loop for accuracy.

What geospatial capabilities does Endstate have?
Endstate includes interactive tactical mapping with terrain visualization (hillshade, slope analysis), viewshed analysis, line of sight calculations, route planning with pathfinding, MGRS grid overlay, and coordinate conversion.
Does Endstate support military symbology?
Yes, Endstate supports MIL-STD-2525 and APP-6D military symbology standards. The Unit Composer generates tactical symbols from natural language descriptions without requiring users to memorize symbol identification codes.
